The early electric two-wheelers in India were totally dependent on relatively cheaper Chinese batteries. But that’s changing as Indian electric vehicle (EV) makers use indigenous technical skills to build more robust batteries. A battery in an EV is core to it and accounts for almost half of the total cost of the vehicle.
